Nature provides sufficiency for man`s needs not for his greed. Greed is what brought us today into routine, unpleasant environment with traffic jams and anxious people, dreams forgotten and waste of precious time between strangers just for complaisance...
I came into urban planning (in detriment to architecture) without knowing exactly what is all about. I just felt it so. Now I`m getting much more into it as the time passes.
Spatial planning is vital for the delivery of sustainable development. Urban planning is not just the manipulation of space through architectural forms but manipulating/inducing feelings and moods through it.
The particular attribute of the planning profession is its ability to consider a range of issues (involving a variety of domains) into account and to translate them into spatial terms.

The personal identity of citizens is strongly related to the identity of their cities.I must say there is a huge divergence into this matter(at least in the city where I`m currently living-Bucharest)

Like one great man says :"Modernism's alchemistic promise - to transform quantity into quality through abstraction and repetition - has been a failure, a hoax: magic that didn't work. Its ideas, aesthetics, strategies are finished. Together, all attempts to make a new beginning have only discredited the idea of a new beginning. For me `urban/urban planning` is much more a concept, beyond philosophy, swallowing almost all sciences of world. It gives you power but also it could mean suicide...in case of a bad thinking/planning(and within you all falls) because human habitat it`s such a fragile realm, you feel it first in your subconscious. It`s like a subliminal message from the environment devouring the soul through time.
